Changing the Industry

I got back from the IMB conference. I love the reactions we get. People get excited about the technology and start to imagine how they could implement it in their business. One of the things I talk about is our commitment to assisting the customers as they make this transition to 3D fashion design. We send an expert to the customer's site to install and set-up the system making sure it woks like a charm. Then, we gather up the entire team that’s going to be working with the system and give them a 4-day course so they can get started. The real important part though, is supporting the customers after that first period. Helping them find solutions to their problems assisting them and supplying them with upgrades when needed. My years in the "shmattes business" taught me that innovation and changes are a necessity in this industry, as in life, and just like in life you sometimes need a guide to help you get to innovations and make changes.

My First Post

Hi

Thanks for dropping by and taking the time to read my Blog. My name is Aviela Sherbu Cohen and I am the CEO of Browzwear.

At Browzwear I am enjoying the opportunity to work with many talented people and together we are hoping to play a big role in the 3D revolution of the fashion and textile industries. That makes me excited to come in every morning.

Many people don't know what went on in the fashion industry in the recent decade. The industry has gone through some big changes and the demands have grown. There are more seasons per year than ever before, more collections and samples which means more traveling of representatives for presentations, more fabrics and prints more dyes and colors to develop and a lot more accessories.

I could go on and on but I am running out of breath… in short all this costs time and money; there are more expenses and less time to work on each collection. As if this isn't enough there are also other difficulties: the physical distance between suppliers and decision makers, the time difference and the communication gaps (anyone who ever went to a business meeting in the far-east knows what I'm talking about).
So what's the solution?

This is where the 3D design and communication technology that we are developing comes in. And when I say design and communication I mean it. The software we develop in Browzwear is really shaking things up because it is not only a fabulous design solution (don't take my word for it check out the screen shots)

It is also a communication solution. Our software allows you to communicate using life like 3D images; it allows people to collaborate on the design of a garment from overseas, to see how it fits different body types and postures, hairstyles and skin tones without actually manufacturing a prototype. Most garments go through several prototypes before they are manufactured… My mind is racing thinking of all the options….think of all the time and money it will save. I think it is overwhelming but what is even more overwhelming is that only a small portion of the market has taken the leap in to 3D fashion design and communication.

This is why I'm so excited about the change we are creating. I hope you are as excited as I am…
